Health tips for spring

Trees

Spring is about revitalization. It is a time of birth. In the Chinese calendar, spring begins before the spring equinox; we discuss this in more detail here.

You can live in tune with spring by:

  • Going to bed early

  • Arising early to exercise outdoors

  • Doing stretching exercises to loosen up your tendons and muscles

  • Expressing yourself freely both physically and emotionally but avoiding excess emotion

  • Consuming green tea, spinach, celery, fennel, rice, buckwheat, and sour foods such as lemon
